At the 2008 LA Auto Show Spyker are showing off their C8 Laviolette LM85, the road version of their GT LeMans Car. The Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 will be built as a limited edition of 24 units maximum.
It will come in both left and right hand drive.
The LM85 is an advanced mid-engine, two-seat sports car with the Audi 4.2 liter V8 engine producing 400 bhp. (more…)
The 2010 Lincoln MKZ gets a new face, interior and more features. The 2010 MKZ has a new sport version with a special sport suspension tuning which has stiffer springs and larger staibilizer bars, 18-inch Euroflage polished wheels, darkened grille and headlamps and an interior with contrasting piping. At the LA Auto Show, Hyundai have introduced their new Hybrid Blue Drive Architecture which features an array of technical components which will go into their hybrid series.
The core is a 30kW electric motor with 205 Nm of torque, which will be connected to a 2.4-litre Theta II engine, or the 2.0-litre Theta Turbo GDI motor, all of them will be connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. (more…)
Robert Kubica is worried that the new front wing regulations for 2009 might result in a lot of broken carbon-fibre at the start of the grand prix.
The BMW-Sauber team has modified the 2009 interim car at Barcelona this week, and it has raised eyebrows.

The covers are offially of off the 2009 Nissan 370Z. It is the first redesign since the Nissan Z was introduced in 2003. The model features a 3.7-litre VQ37VHR engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) that makes 332-hp with a maximum torque of 270 lb-ft.
The engine is connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox as a standard and there will be an optional 7-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The estimated fuel economy for the 2009 370Z comes in at 18/26 mpg (city/highway) for both the 7-speed automatic and the 6-speed manual. (more…)
BMW is readying 500 MINI E Electric cars for private use. They were at the LA Auto Show. The MINI E can do 156 miles on a full charge from the lithium-ion batteries, which is more than GM’s EV1 was capable of. It features a 0-100km/h time of under 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 95mph.
The MINI E will do just about anything a normal driver would require. The model features even weight distribution, and the backseats are reserved for the batteries. (more…)
The 2009 BMW 7-Series has made its US debut at the 2008 LA Auto Show. There will be two variants of the 7-Series, the 750i and the 750 Li. The new engine is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 from the X6 xDrive50i.
The engine makes 400-hp with a maximum torque of 450lb-ft. It is connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and BMW says that the fuel-economy is improved, but there are no specific numbers out yet. They said the BMW 7-Series will be the first model to features its own “Integrated Owner’s Manual.” (more…)
The 2010 Mazda3, it will rival the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. It was at the 2008 LA Auto Show and it features a completely new design, with a higher-level of standard and optional equipment, with new performance figures.
The entry-level 2010 Mazda3 has a 2.0-litre inline 4-cylinder engine with 148-hp and 135lb-ft of torque. There is a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder model with 167-hp and 168lb-ft of torque. (more…)
