Audi TT Cheapie

The Audi TT has just become more affordable. The new entry-level version will be fitted with a 1.8 TFSI engine which will undercut the current cheapest model by £2,000.

The new ‘cheapie’ won’t be slow, it will have 158bhp being pushed out of the turbocharged, direct injection engine and the front-wheel-drive car will get 0-60 in 7.2seconds and reach a top speed of 140mph.

The new model will also be more fuel-efficient than the rest of the range, with the coupe giving 35mpg. The TT will be available in both a hardtop and a roadster, and it will cost around £22,000 ($45,000), Auto insurance quotes are not known yet. The 2.0 TFSI will also be available with quattro all-wheel-drive, which will be coupled with the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox.

Price: £22,000 ($45,000)
Auto Insurance: Auto insurance quotes not known – but should be cheaper than current low cost model
