Mercedes Gullwing Specifications

The Mercedes Gullwing project. We have got some news about the specs on the car.

The new model will be 4650mm long, 1950mm wide and 1250mm high. The car will have a 2700mm wheel base with a 200 litre capacity boot for the coupe and a 175 litre capacity boot for the roadster. The car will still be lighter than the SLR with the use of a brand-new advanced aluminum spaceframe technology.

The power will come from a AMG 6.3 litre V8 which will produce 550hp and 445lb-ft torque. The car should get 0-60 in around 3.8 seconds with an electronic top speed set to 185mph. The new model will have all wheel drive and a new Sportshift gearbox.

Mercedes is only planning to build 6000 units of each, a coupe and a roadster. They will end production in 2013, which will be in time for the next-generation SL model.
