The new Mazda 3 spyshots. This model is set to hit UK showrooms at the end of 2009.
Under the disguise we can see that the new Mazda 3 is taking styling cues from the sporty Mazda6. The swooping headlamps, angled tail lights and a stumpy rear add to the bigger Mazda look.
Sources say that the Mazda 3 has a similar interior as well, with features such as heated seats, a multi function steering wheel and a hard drive for mp3s.
The Mazda3 will fit on the Ford Focus C1 platform, so the newcomer will compete with the best in class. The car will run off of a six-speed gearbox, which will be mated to a 2.0-litre or 2.5-litre direct injection engine.
