First spy shots: Audi R8 Spider

Spy photographers have caught images of the Audi R8 Spider. The Spider has big changes, which are, the lack of a solid roof (of course) and the missing side blades which have become quite a signature of Audi. The roof found on this model is similar to that found on the Lamborghini Gallardo Spider.

The spy report says that the R8 Spider will use the same powerplant as the standard R8, which will include the upcoming 5.0-litre V-10 version.

Here are the first real photos of the open air brother to the Audi R8.

The Audi R8 Spider. Engines will be the same as the R8 and also the upcoming R8 V10, meaning that you can have your Spider with both V8 and V10 power.

Roof looks pretty much like on the Gallardo Spider, and without the sideblades that we normally find on the R8 Coupe, the Spider looks even better.
