Four-door Mazda3 to be unveiled at the LA Auto Show
Minor Changes & Pricing | Dean | August 1, 2008 at 13:45The Los Angeles Auto Show in November has a great line up, with the 2010 Ford Mustang to be releaved, and Volkswagen planning to unveil a mid-engined roadster to rival the Elise. There is also the chance of Nissan showing us the 370Z.
Mazda is now also planning a designed Mazda3 sedan. The Mazda3 will be taking cues from the recently released Mazda6, which include flared wheel arches, swept back headlamps and a gaping air dam. The illustration, which comes from AutoCar, is another derivation of the reoccuring theme that we have seen before, and with the C1 Ford Focus chassis, the 2010 Mazda3 will have the looks to back-up its performance.
As for the engine, the European market will get a choice of petrol engines ranging from a 1.4-litre to a 2.0-litre, along with a 1.6-litre and 2.2-litre oil-burners. The U.S can be expecting engines from a 2.0-litre to a 2.5-litre, while the Mazdaspeed will have a 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder from the Focus ST.
