VW Scirocco Study R revealed

Volkswagen have released their new Scirocco GT24 street version at the Bologna Motor Show.

The Scirocco Study R could be a replacement for the Golf R32 which will be called the R20T. The Study R will use the same 2.0-litre TFSI engine found in the current Audi S3 and it will produce 5-hp more, for a total of 198kW.

The gearbox will be a six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. It will also have other features such as adjustable coilover suspension, four-piston brake calipers and a sound-optimized exhaust system.

The exterior is distinguished by a close resembling of the GT24 front bumper fascia and hood vents, integrated headlamp daytime driving LEDs, red coloured side view mirror housings, roof spoiler, rear bumper facsia with fitted dual exhaust diffuser design.
