Rumour: 2010 Audi RS5 Models To Feature Turbocharged Engines only?
Rumours | Dean | May 15, 2009 at 01:44
New rumours have it that the next generation Audi Rs5 will feature the same 3.0-litre TFSI V6 engine from the 2010 S4, where it will push out 400-odd horse power. If this is true, what will happen to the original 4.2-litre V8 motor that was also rumoured to be in the RS5?
According to sources, the new engine for the Audi RS5 is a twin-turbocharged unit with 450-hp and 332lb-ft of torque. Which means that Audi are moving away from the naturally aspirated units to turbocharged units, making this rumour plausible.
It is expected that a new convertible version of the RS5 will also join the model, and this will hit showrooms in 2009.
