Volkswagen have stopped their talks with Porsche about a merger, as they have said that Porsche are not ready for a merger. The automakers had a sit down yesterday, where they spoke about the possibility of Porsche obtaining a 75 percent stake in VW.
“We recognized at the end of the week that Porsche is lacking several fundamental conditions for the discussions,” a spokesman for VW told Reuters.
VW also said that Porsche do not have a strategy at the moment, and they do not actually know where they are headed. The VW spokes person has said that VW are still open to Porsche.
Porsche had no comment on this.
This could either be that VW are stalling the situation, or Porsche might just want to rush ownership on VW. Let us know what you think below.
