ABT Sportsline has found a few more ponies in the R8’s 5.2-litre V10 engine as the tuner has pumped out the power to 441kW (600hp). This is a decent boost over the original 386kW setting. The 0-100km/h time will be set at 3.9 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds slower than the standard time.
The top speed will be 322km/h where there is also a new sport suspension available.
“The 600 horsepower should be present, but also be available on the street,” said DTM race driver and Abt-Sportsline principal Christian Abt, “And the car can also be at the highest speeds and more demanding routes moving at the limit not only on paper.”
There is a new aero kit available as well, and this will include an ABT front grille, new front air dams, side skirts, a rear apron, a new rear wing and a four piece exhaust system. The wheels will come in the size of 20 inches.
