Hennessey Performance Engineering has created a new Venom GT Concept which will be at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The Venom will have a powerful 1,200 bhp V8 engine with a 0-100 km/h time of 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 440km/h. The displacement of the engine was not announced, but if these stats are correct then, well, good night Veyron.

Hennessey will get from 0-160 km/h in 5.3 seconds, 0-240km/h in 8.9 seconds and 0-320km/h 14.3 seconds. In order to achieve these speeds the company had to abide by strict super light supercar modifications. It was said that the Venom GT will weigh in at 2,400lbs, which is 1,700lbs lighter than the Veyron.

This model will feature a “VenomAero” rear wing and it will have 14-inch carbon brake rotors to slow the poison down.

  1. I don’t think just boosting horsepower would do any good to this car. Every aspect of the car’s engineering has to be looked into if they have to take out the Veyron.

It will definitely be interesting to see what happens.

The HP will definately help…but the thing about the Veyron is its a luxury car first and foremost! This looks like a straight up race car!
