UK Pricing On The VW Golf Plus BlueMotion Revealed

The big V-Dub has revealed pricing on their new Golf Plus BlueMotion which will arrive in UK showrooms from the October month. Volkswagen has set the UK prices to start at £17,570 for the standard model known as the Plus BlueMotion S, while the SE model will start at £18,920.

The VW Golf Plus will use a 105-horsepower 1.6-litre diesel engine with a load of BlueMotion modifications that include a new Start/Stop system, regenerative braking, low rolling resistance tyres and also a new set of revised gear ratios. The engine found in this model will most likely be added to the Scirocco in a few months time, as VW recently reported about a BlueMotion change for the Scirocco.

VW’s BlueMotion set up on the Golf Plus will hint at similar Scirocco fuel ratings which are currently set at 4.3-litres per 100km, and 114g/km of CO2. These figures might change when they are added to the larger hatch.

It has been said that the improvement from this model is around 11 percent despite both engines, the 1.5 and 1.9-litre TDI’s, boasting the same power output.
