There has been a lot of controversy around the BMW Z10 Supercar, where the automaker says that it will not be built but various sources state that it will be built. The last piece of news on the car revealed a concept model, the Vision EfficientDynamic (pictured) model which could land up being the new Z10 Supercar.
The reports from a site has said that the new Z10 is currently being built where it will be available in both coupe and roadster form. The models are said to weigh in at under no more than 1,500 kilograms.
BMW are planning to use a 6-cylinder 3.0-litre twin turbo unit, despite the initial news revolving around a V8 unit. The power on this engine is said to be 450-horsepower where the torque will be 350lb-ft. BMW will add an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to shift the gears.
Seeing that the engine is pretty small, there is a very good chance that BMW will add an electric motor for more power, thus resulting in hybrid power.
The release is said to be around 2014.
