Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that they will stick to a partnership with McLaren in the Formula One. The news comes as many people are speculating that Mercedes-Benz would like to partner up with Brawn GP, where they would then like to buy stake in the F1 team.

“Both McLaren and Mercedes-Benz remain extremely satisfied with our F1 collaboration, which has netted two drivers’ world championships and one constructors’ world championship as well as dozens of grand prix victories,” said the spokesman, according to a report from British broadcaster BBC.

“Mercedes-Benz’s engine supply contract with McLaren is a very long-standing one – it’s in its 15th consecutive year, in fact – and it will continue to run for many years to come,” added the spokesman.

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the two companies have a strong bond, and they would like to maintain their partnership. The spokesperson did not reveal any news on a long-term partnership with Brawn GP for the future at all.
