New Images Of The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster

Yesterday saw the McLaren MP4-12C become a reality, where today will not only mark the unveil of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG but also the new Lamborghini Reventon Roadser. The new Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has been more of rumour than a reality since its first unveiling at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster boasts not only elegance and style, but also a lightweight body produced out of carbon fibre. The images we have here reveal a similar model to the original concept that made its debut a couple of years ago as there are 18-inch wheels with an alcantara upholstered interior.

Details on the new Lambo are very limited, however speculation is hinting towards a 6.5-litre V12 engine with 478kW and 660Nm of torque. The gearbox will be an e-gear transmission unit with all-wheel-drive as a standard feature.

Acceleration figures will be on the lines of the 0-100km/h coming in at 3.4 seconds while the top speed will be set around 340km/h.

Lamborghini will only produce about 20 units, where the price will start at 1.2 million euros.
