The Fiat Abarth 500 R3T With 180-Horsepower For The 21st Sanremo Rally

Over the past few weeks Abarth has been hard at work on a few new models to tease the public. The latest is the new Fiat 500 R3T model which will compete in the Group R3T category. The R3T category features all kinds of cars up to a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine for the 51st Sanremo rally.

The 1.4-litre turbocharged engine with 16-valves will pump out 18-horsepower and 300Nm of torque. The turbocharger will be a Garrett GT1446a, where the diameter is set at 29mm and it will have a special reinforced water and air sleeve.

Fiat’s Abarth division has added a 6-speed gearbox with a multiplate self-locking differential and a 184mm diameter metal-ceramic twin plate clutch. Suspension has also been upgrades, where there will be new shock absorbers and also coaxial springs with the ability to adjust the wheels height.

New brakes are needed to stop the car, and yup, Abarth have added a pair of 295 mm discs for the front, and 240 mm discs at the back.

The overall weight is 1,080kg and this includes the 17 inch wheels, and FIA type-approved seats with a 6-harness seat belt.
