Renault has unveiled their brand new Twingo RS 133 Cup. The new sports hatch is aimed at delivering “a more focused driving experience with less equipment and a lower price”.
Although the looks might attract buyers, be warned that the inside lacks air-conditioning, automatic headlights, tinted windows and independent rear seats. So this might not be the most luxurious car, however it does have a new sports suspension along with a revised damper setting.
The wheels will be a set of Continental Sport Contact3 wrapping around a set of 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels.
Styling wise there will be a black and gold package, black accents on the door mirrors, a rear spoiler and a new front bumper.
Power comes from a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 98kW and 160Nm of torque. The 0-100km/h time is estimated to be around 8.7 seconds, while the top speed will be 201km/h.

RENAULTSPORT TWINGO 133 CUP ARRIVES
Renaultsport’s reputation for producing the very best hot hatchbacks is well recognised and 2009 is turning out to be a vintage year, as the ‘Cup’ version of the Twingo Renaultsport 133 becomes the latest model to join the fold.
Following the strategy with the recently-launched Clio Renaultsport 200, the Cup version of its Twingo baby brother provides a more focused driving experience with less equipment and a lower price.
The Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup is priced at £11,795, £700 less than the standard version. The Cup does without air conditioning, automatic headlamp and wiper operation, extra tinted rear windows and features a one-piece bench in place of the usual independent sliding rear seats. Obviously, the Cup suspension pack is fitted as standard. Normally a £650 option on the regular 133, the Cup version is priced £1,350 less than a similarly-equipped car.
The Cup chassis offers handling to satisfy the demands of the enthusiast, offering optimum body control. The chassis rides 4mm lower than the standard Renaultsport setting and its lower centre of gravity improves in-corner performance thanks to reduced weight transfer. Tuned damper settings and higher spring rates (10 per cent stiffer front and rear) bring greater performance through improved body control. Anthracite-coloured 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels are equipped with Continental Sport Contact3 195/40 tyres.
Two new options are now available for both the Renaultsport 133 Cup and Renaultsport 133. The ‘Black and White’ Renault i.d. pack is £150 and offers Glacier White bodywork with gloss black finish to the door mirrors, rear spoiler and front bumper trims. Gloss black finish is available for the Cup 17″ alloys wheels at £175.
The Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup is available to order from 1st October and first deliveries are expected from November.
