General Motors Are Working On A 44MPG Chevrolet Cruze — New Impala For 2013

The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze for the American market will benefit from a 40mile per gallon fuel consumption when connected to a manual transmission. The recently fuel reports from GM claimed that the company was expecting 42mpg.
This fuel figure has been achieved with the 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, and not the 1.8-litre baseline unit.
Because the General does not feel that these figures are good enough, they have hired some engineers from the former Performance Division to try and boost economy up to 44mpg with the use of the XFE (Xtended Fuel Economy) efficiency program from the Chevrolet Cobalt.
Alongside the fuel news, Chevrolet has said that the Impala will be ready during 2013 and it will be sold as a 2014MY. However, we can expect a facelift model coming soon.
