Bad economic times have pushed the release of the Alfa Romeo 169 to late 2010, if not 2012. Many are saying that the arrival of the Alfa Romeo 169 could be in 2012, but despite these rumours the impatient artists out there have started working on what they think the new model will look like.
The CGI images attached here reveal the new 169 from an opinionated point of view. If these designs are true, well; if they are even close to the real thing then the 166 replacement will be a massive hit.
The Alfa 169 will feature a new design style, with new design cues. There will be a new front end with a few radical changes as well.
Power on the new Alfa 169 is expected to range between 170- (127kW) and 250-horsepower (186kW), where all of this will be pushed out towards the rear wheels.

GLOBAL WATCH:
THE 169 LOOKS ERILY LIKE THE ASTON RAPIDE. NO MYSTERY THERE. THE BRITISH CAR HAS BEEN IN THE PUBLIC EYE FOR A WHILE, NOW. SO ARTISTS ARE PROBABLY BEING INFLUENCED BY AM’S NEWEST SEDAN. IT IS REMARKABLY FETCHING. BUT WITH AN ENTRY PRICE OF JUST $69,000.00, THE ITALIAN MIGHT JUST BE A RUNAWAY BEST SELLER IN THE NEAR-LUXURY SECTOR. I JUST HOPE THAT THE POWERTRAIN COMES FROM AMERICA. THE YANKS KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT RELIABILITY;A LESSON THAT ALFA HAS NEVER LEARNED; PITY.
Obviously you’ve not owned an Alfa for the last 10 years or so. Auguably the 166 is the most reliable car on the road.
Driving it? Just puts a smile on your face every time.
Lol this reminds me of Top Gear. They love Alfa, and rightly so. It just looks like a car you’d want to own.
The only thing that scares me about Alfa are the cost for parts down here in South Africa.
It’s outrageous, and if something breaks you just want to cry.
Lol, Things should change quite a bit on the car. Fiat might even use the Chrysler partnership for parts
It does look too much like an Aston in the rear quater panel. Also and Maser in the rear. If Alfa Romeo wants to take some sort of lead, they will have to creat cars that doesnt look like they are following. I for one like this car but my first thought is, “Wow is that the new Aston Martin.
