VW Confirms That The Golf R Will Find Its Way To The US Market

Volkswagen has confirmed that they will sell a Golf R in the United States. The Golf R will be known as the GTI-R in the United States, and it will replace the R32.
Golf’s R will be available with VW’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, a 4-cylinder engine with 265-horsepower (197kW) and 350Nm of torque. The engine will be connected to a 5-speed DSG gearbox with automatic and manual modes.
Pricing should start above the standard GTI’s $23,489.
