General Motors CEO, Fritz Henderson has been chillin’ out in Germany in an attempt to try and mend broken hearts, and ill-relationships caused by the whole Opel catastrophe. GM has announced that they would like to scrap the Magna deal in order to keep the Opel brand.

Henderson said that GM could soon seek a bit of cash from the European government in order to pay for the restructuring costs involved with this idea. However, it seems as if things aren’t exactly going to well for the CEO.

German Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said that GM, not Germany, should pay to fix Opel.

“I expressed my expectation that General Motors should basically carry out the financing itself,” Bruederle said.

GM has also said that they apologize for the lack of communication with the German government.
