Green light ahead… Or so we hear. Reports around the 2010 Lotus Espirit apparently confirm that the model will indeed hit production in an attempt to raise the brand to the level of Ferrari and Lamborghini.
Lotus will focus on a lightweight sports car with ideal power-to-weight set between about 275bhp and 325bhp per tonne.
Alongside the production of the new supercar is the promotion of the company’s new Versatile Vehicle Architecture. This platform will be engineered to suit almost any vehicle type, whether it be and SUV or normal sedan.
Rumours around Lotus also include hybrid and electric projects.
