Mercedes-Benz Might Move C-Class Production To The US

Recent reports state that Mercedes-Benz are thinking about building the C-Class in the United States. The change in build location would protect the sedan from being attacked by horrible currency fluctuations and also declining profitability.
If this all goes to plan, the C-Class will be built in Vance, Alabama, where it will share factory space with the M-, GL- and R-Class models. The annual production could total about 80,000 units.
During a press conference, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said “It’s no secret that a decision for the new C-class has to be made in the near future.”
