Peugeot Has Said That They Will Drop The GTI Badge

Peugeot, the French automaker, has announced that their GTI models will no longer exist. The company first released the 205 GTI, and this model made history on both the streets and in rally’s. The brand has been built up over the years, and it’s really sad to see it leave.
“For us, the GTI concept is dead,” said Peugeot marketing director Christian Stein. “We will move away from hot hatches towards premium sports coupes. The GTI means a lot to English people but it is time to move on.”
While the GTI might have been a legacy car, we can only hope for the best as the new RCZ tries to top the charts.
Perhaps a RCZ GTI?
