Both, Toyota and Subaru are building a new sports coupe which will use a rear wheel drive layout along with an average Joe price tag. Both of these cars are built in lines of a partnership, where the latest news around the Subaru model states that it will be slightly larger than the Toyota FT-86.
We’re yet to see the Subaru variant, however, we do know details regarding its production. It is expected in 2011 where it will be powered by a 2.0-litre flat four-cylinder engine with about 250-horsepower. The 250-hp total is 50-horsepower more than the Toyota-related-coupe.
The latest report has also said that Subaru’s variant will use all-wheel-drive, and this will carry the extra weight from being larger.
Pricing is expected to be about $5,000 more than the Toyota.
