The Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG Is Now In South Africa

Mercedes-Benz South Africa has released the new E 63 AMG. The range topping E-Class will feature day-to-day driving with a sense of power and exhilaration. The new AMG will feature the same amount of power when compared to the SL 63 AMG.
The engine for the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG will be a 6.3-litre 386kW V8 with 630Nm of torque. This motor will have all of its power sent to the road through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. There will be four racing modes available on this box, “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport) “S+” (Sport plus) and “M” (Manual), as well as double-declutching and Race Start functions.
Acceleration times will see 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the top speed will be electronically limited to 250km/h. Fuel consumption has been reduced by around 12 percent when compared to the previous model, and this allows for a total usage of 12.6-litres per 100km.
Mercedes-Benz has enhanced the suspension by adding a new AMG RIDE CONTROL sports setup, this will allow for better handling and comfort for whatever the driving occasion. The suspension features a new electronically controlled damping system and this will vary the characteristics of the drive.
The E-Class AMG will include carbon ceramic brakes, along with ESP for stopping power.
Exterior changes include a new set of LED lights, along with new tinted headlights, while the grille will feature chrome treatment. There will be AMG logo’s all around the car as well. The wheels will be 18-inch AMG light alloys.
Inside will feature a high grade materials, along with new improved seats, and an AMG steering wheel housing AMG shift paddles. There will be leather all over, along with AMG lettering on the main menu, door sills and sport pedals.
Optional extras include new 19-inch wheels, an AMG Ride Control suspension, a rear axle locking differential, a new AMG performance steering wheel, Nappa leather for the seats and dash, and finally a new roof liner in Alcantara.
For more exotic changes the German brand will offer a new exterior carbon fibre package with deflectors in the front apron, mirror houses and spoiler lip; a new steering wheel in Alcantara; carbon fibre trim elements and an enhanced top speed of 300km/h.
