Toyota Quit F1 — Stay in NASCAR

Toyota has said that after exiting the Formula One they will continue to race in NASCAR.

“It (the decision) should have no effect whatsoever on our NASCAR programme, our NASCAR plans and our NASCAR future. We remain completely committed to NASCAR and NASCAR is completely committed to us,” said Toyota Racing Development president Lee White.

Toyota’s rival Honda pulled out at the end of 2008, where they now supply engines to IndyCar teams.
