Alfa Romeo’s 147 Replacement Has Been Found Uncovered
Spy News | Dean | December 1, 2009 at 19:21Not much is known about the mystery car below, and this is sad because we were meant to find everything out yesterday. The Alfa Romeo brand was forced to stop the unveil of their new 147 replacements, as there was a large conflict with the Milan based workers.
Alfa was said to drop the Milano name and something like the Giuletta instead. Anyway, we can only speculate this at the moment as we don’t know much about the car since details have not yet been released.
The images are spy shots of the car and they reveal the new BMW 1-Series and Audi A3 hatchback rival. The new Alfa Romeo Giuletta (?) was designed by Fiat’s ‘Centro Stile Alfa Romeo’ and it measures in at 4,350mm in length, 1,460mm in height and 1,800mm in width. The wheel base will be set at 2,630mm.
Engine wise you can expect to see four units, starting with 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel motors. These will include the 1.4-litre TB and 1.4-litre TB MultiAir petrol units with 120-hp and 170-hp. After this the range boasts a 1.6-litre JTDM and a 2.0-litre JTDM diesel with 105-hp and 170-hp.
Shortly after the car is released onto the market, Alfa will include a new sporty “Quadrifoglio Verde” engine based on the 1.7-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 235-horsepower.
