The Ford Mustang BOSS 302R GT Track Racer

The new Ford BOSS 302R will be a track racing model which honours the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones’ 1970 Trans-Am championship in a Mustang BOSS 302. The model will use the GT’s 5.0-litre V8 engine connected to a six-speed manual box.

There will be a roll cage, racing seats, safety harness, race dampers and springs, a new Brembo brake and tire package.

Ford will offer this model for $129,000 and it will be set up for racing with a new cooling system, a close-ratio six-speed transmission with integral shifter, a seam-welded body, racing suspension, ABS brake tuning and a performance exhaust system.
