Reports have said that Robert Kubica might sign with Renault for the next Formula One season, where there is still a chance that he will be able to race for Ferrari in the future. The Polish driver has only will only sign a one year deal with the French team, and this is because is interested in a seat at Ferrari.
Both the driver, and Renault were only interested in a one year contract and this is said to be directly related to a Ferrari move, as a spot will open up in 2011. At the end of 2010, Felipe Massa’s contact will run out and the team has not yet decided if they would like to extend this.
Massa was recently involved in an accident, and if the damaged sustained hinders his performance in the red car, Kubica would want to be free to capitalize on this.
Obviously, Kubica has denied all reports about this saying, “That’s the first time I have heard that,”
